WI TE TAU HUATA

Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairoa, Ngāti Kahungunu ki Heretaunga

Wi is a father, a grandfather, a musican and performing artist. He is the pōtiki (youngest) of nine children. He shares his frameworks of recovery which is inclusive of waiata and whakatauki.

He composed ‘Io’ for tangata whaiora and has shared it with many in the mental health and addiction sector. Whakataukī were included to honour the memories he has of his elder brothers, Hemi, Paraire and Tama.
